The boy's wish

A young boy was once granted a wish by a wise old sage. The boy said he wanted some more time to think and said he'll ask for a wish the next day. The following day he came to the same tree where the sage was the previous day and waited till the sage opened his eyes. The sage, without opening his eyes, told the boy to tell him his wish. The boy had one last thought on what he was going to wish for and he then said, "I'd like to be my best friend for a day. I'd like to see my own self with someone else's eyes. Sometimes you just can't see your own faults with your own eyes, and for that reason I'd like to see myself once through the eyes of my friend because he's the only one who's mostly always with me." The sage, expecting a less humble answer, was a bit surprised by the boy. He gave a the boy a magic mantra fulfilling the his request.
