The human mind is programmed in such a way that it just cannot lie to itself. When you're all alone, try asking yourself something. Say you ask yourself, 'Who is my best friend?' The first person that comes to your mind after you ask the question, (or sometimes even before you ask it) will be the answer ~ whether you like it or not. Deny the answer as much as you want, but deep inside the truth will silently haunt you unless and until you accept it. This ability of the brain can be quite useful, but it's up to you to decide where to use it. Another interesting thing about the mind is that if you're going to do something, you start hearing things in your head. Well, not literally but something in your mind might starts telling you that what you're about to do is right or wrong. You've been on the computer for over 3 hours, and something in your mind keeps telling you to get off. Your in the kitchen trying a new recipe for the first time, and after you add that flour in the mixture, you start getting a feeling that you were supposed to put some water in first. It's pretty great isn't it? Well that's because it's said ~ and believed ~ that this 'voice' you hear is the voice of God telling you the right thing to do. After all, God is the divine power within us.
