It just can get quite annoying if an acquaintance comes up to you and starts asking you a question. Well, when it comes to the person who's asking the question, he just wants the answer, no matter what he thinks of himself. But what matters is what the answerer thinks of the interrogator. For example, if a someone with a reputation (or someone worth impressing) comes up to you asking the meaning of a hard word, most probably you would do your best to help that person out, answering him or her in a positive way. But if someone with the same question, same hard word, just a bad reputation (or someone not worth impressing) asked that question, you would probably tell him to go see the dictionary and maybe even say (for example), "Your in college and you don't even know the meaning of candid!?" This just shows us that setting aside the question we pay attention to the person who's doing the asking and answer accordingly. It can sometimes help the interrogator to get a proper answer or even get one at all. Above all its the answerer who should be a bit more fair with the people around him.
