My Mother

Behind my success does she lie,
Her shoulder I receive when left to cry.
By her the correct path is shown,
A path which I will ne'er walk alone.

Her emotions lie within mine,
She encourages me to do,
Assuring I don't ignore my vices,
Knowing my pride shouldn't be undue.

A package of affection are we,
Packed with love to the top, fully,
Sealed with care for each other,
Sent to her from me 'n to me from my mother.

Every virtue in me, from her it came,
With which success I shall obtain.
A token of gratitude my mother will receive,
At the joy of my success, I do believe.

But even such gratitude will not suffice,
As opposed, for me, her great sacrifice.
I am what I am now, thanks to my mother,
Like a Goddess who gave me love like no other.
